Privacy

Short version: we never receive your details. No accounts, and your answers are worked out on your device.

Worked out on your phone

Your own browser works out every result. We never receive your birth date, birth time, birth place, answers or name.

Links carry your details after the #

When you make a compare link, your details and your first name (if you typed one) go inside the link, after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to any server, ours included.

Anyone who gets the link, and the chat app you send it with, can read what is in it. Send it only to the person you mean. To post publicly, share your card instead: it has no birth details.

If you open Soulr inside another app’s browser (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LINE or KakaoTalk, for example), that app can see the page too. Open it in your phone’s own browser if you’d rather it didn’t.

Looking up a place

When you search for a birth place, your browser downloads a small list of towns from our site, picked by the first letters you typed. The search itself happens on your device.

Share cards

Share cards are drawn by your browser. They never show birth details or answers, and nothing is uploaded.

What we keep on your device

One setting: light or dark theme, if you change it. It stays in your browser’s storage.

What our host sees, and what we count

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, its servers see which pages are requested (never the part after #), your IP address and your browser, to deliver the pages and keep the site safe.

We count visits from those request logs. We also count a few steps, such as “an invite was made” or “a compare was finished”, by loading a tiny empty file from our own site. These requests carry no cookie, no ID and never your details. There is no analytics script.
